Napoli are yet to make any new or significant movement in their move for Brighton’s Billy GIlmour and their move for Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku is also in the balance.

The Partenopei haven’t given up in the chases at all and there has been what is described as a ‘blitz’.

Gianluca di Marzio has reported that with the ‘aim of closing’ their moves for Gilmour and Lukaku, Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna flown to London for face-to-face talks on both transfers.

Gilmour is Antonio Conte’s choice for midfield and the report also confirms that Napoli’s first offer was €10m plus bonuses. According to the report, Brighton want €12m plus bonuses, which feels too cheap.

An agreement for the fee is the only stumbling block regarding the move, with it insisted in Italy that personal terms will be no problem whatsoever.

As for Lukaku, Napoli have put forward €25m plus €5m in bonuses and now await Chelsea’s response. Meetings with both Chelsea and Brighton are expected to take place in the next few days.

Napoli are likely going to need more money to be succesful.
