Blackburn Rovers, Queens Park Rangers and Oxford United are all chasing RKC Waalwijk’s Oskar Zawada.
That’s according to Soccer News, and they cover the Championship trio’s interest and the 29-year-old’s plan for the future.
Their title says, ‘Blackburn Rovers has RKC striker in their sights’ and within the report, QPR and Oxford United are also mentioned.
Blackburn Rovers would face a battle from two other English clubs, if all three concretely make efforts for Zawada.
Last summer, the striker joined the Eredivisie side on a free transfer and scored 11 goals from 27 games this season.
Waalwijk are 17th in the table [18 teams in the league] and risk being relegated. The Pole has a contract until 2026, but sources have told Soccer News he wants to leave if the Dutch club drop to the second division.
As well as Blackburn Rovers, QPR and Oxford United, second division German clubs 1. FC Kaiserslautern and Hannover 96 are also interested in Zawada. The former are fourth in the table and in contention to secure promotion to the Bundesliga.
According to the reports, the two German clubs have already registered their interest with his representatives.
Blackburn Rovers, QPR and Oxford United are 12th, 15th and 18th respectively in the Championship table. Kaiserslautern, if they return to the Bundesliga, could have an edge over the English clubs in the summer window.
