The situation of Boulaye Dia, who failed to push through a move to Wolverhampton Wanderers last summer, is only getting worse.
As widely covered in the past few days, the Salernitana player is currently being punished for recently refusing to enter the pitch in a match, and the Serie A side are taking strong action against him.
The latest update comes from Gazzetta Dello Sport, and claims that the Italian club now demand a €20m fine for ‘compensation for damages’.
His rebellion against the club has everything to do with Wolves, because even though Salernitana had just bought him following a one-year loan spell there, he wanted to be sold to the Molineux side.
That was the reason for the start of the drama. Things only got more intense since then, and while it’s obvious the Serie A side no longer want him at the club, they’re all trying to make the soap opera as bizarre as possible.
Wolves may be waiting for a bargain, or deciding to back away from dealing with the Italian club.
