Some of Serbia’s biggest sport media outlets, including Sportske, are running the story and it’s creating waves on social media in Serbia too.
However, there’s a rather big problem. Not that we’d want to pour cold water over the Serbian Mitrovic to Aston Villa excitement, but it seems it’s all come from an English website going through a list of odds of potential destinations for the Newcastle player.
Steve Bruce may well be interested, and Aston Villa odds could shrinking, but there doesn’t seem an awful lot to back that idea up. If Mitrovic is to leave Newcastle in the summer then he may well prefer to move outside of the Championship.
