Despite Cesc Fabregas returning to some kind of prominence at Chelsea, the rumours about the Spaniard’s future refuse to go anywhere. It’s the Italian media who like Fabregas stories the most, and the Chelsea player has been linked to a handful of clubs.
On Monday Il Tempo explain that AS Roma are still very keen on the player and would be set to make at least one attempt to sign him this winter, as long as the conditions are correct. Fabregas, for his part, is said to be tired of being used as a ‘luxury reserve’.
The options and the costs are being ‘studied’ by Roma.
Of course, any January transfer would very much depend on the will of Antonio Conte, and whether he’d be willing to see his luxury reserve leave during the winter, when the club are building a very serious title challenge.
Similar would go for Fabregas himself, he has been more important over the past couple of weeks or so, and he’d surely want to see how things go for the rest of the current season, unless Conte ushered him toward the exit.
