Emerging as an alternative to the very expensive Federico Chiesa, there is a genuine belief in Italy that Liverpool are interested in Domenico Berardi.
After all, the right winger impressed at the Euros when called upon, and with the Reds looking to bolster their attack, adding depth to the likes of Mohamed Sala, Sadio Mané and Diogo Jota, the Italian makes sense.
He would cost around €40-50m, according to various reports, and Sassuolo News bring the latest, claiming that everyone needs to ‘beware of Liverpool’.
Not only that, but they could have ‘a card to exploit’ in Marko Grujic, who has ended up on Sassuolo’s list of desired players this summer and ‘you cannot exclude a potential swap, with a solution that would put all parties in agreement’.
Certainly something to keep an eye on, as the reports of Liverpool’s interest in the player continue to do the rounds.
