Ferran Torres is having a good time at Barcelona, and had one of the best games of his career on Sunday.

In their 4-2 away win against Real Betis, the former Manchester City player was involved in all goals, scoring a hat-trick and making an assist.

Torres is today quoted by La Vanguardia talking about his form, and claimed that he’s now at his peak.

“I think I’m in the best moment of my career, the most confident, the strongest mentally,” said Torres.

“I arrived at the beginning of the season at my best, with a very different mentality. I was able to change a situation in which it was very difficult to get minutes and opportunities. So that people know that nothing is impossible, that it is necessary to work and that in the end everything comes.”

Manchester City bought Torres in a €33.5m deal from Valencia back in 2020. During his time with Pep Guardiola’s side, the winger had 16 goals and four assists in 43 appearances.

In January 2022, Barcelona then showed up to buy him for €55m, but he faced a lot of doubt since then. The winger has 25 goals and 13 assists for the Camp Nou side, and has just played his 100th game for the club.

Barça may be a little behind in the title race this season, but considering how happy Torres seems to be, it seems clear he thinks he made the right choice by leaving Manchester City for a place where he’d get more chances.
