Defender Loïc Badé has revealed he is now living the best moment of his career at Sevilla after managing to escape Nottingham Forest in January.
The centre-back has been speaking to AS about his time in Spain so far after joining Sevilla in the January transfer window.
He spent the first half of this season on loan at Nottingham Forest, having joined them on loan in the summer as part of their numerous incomings in that transfer window.
Unlike the rest of the signings, though, he failed to impress manager Steve Cooper, who left him out of the picture and failed to hand the defender a single minute of action before the January transfer window.
Badé was eventually moved on, with Nottingham Forest reaching an agreement with Rennes to end his loan deal before he then joined Sevilla for the remainder of the campaign.
That move has worked out particularly well for all parties, with Badé establishing himself as a key player and putting in a series of impressive performances for the La Liga side.
He’s very happy where he is and insists he is now in the best moment of his career, despite his miserable time in England.
“It was the coach’s responsibility He had other preferences in his choices, and I respected him,” he said regarding his lack of minutes at Nottingham Forest.
“I don’t know what would have happened because I didn’t get the chance to play, but I’ll take the fact that I’m important here and now.
“(Now) it could be the best moment of my career. Also, in a stretch with Lens. And a few months ago, it was one of the worst. In football there are moments that change, but it’s clear that the last few months have been very good.
“I’ve even managed to score important goals, like the one against Manchester United.”
