Even though we’re now at the peak of the January transfer window, we now get to see rumours about a potential summer transfer involving West Bromwich Albion.
Turkish outlet Sports Digitale brings some news on Trabzonspor’s plans, and that includes Baggies’ midfielder Okay Yokuslu.
The report claims there may be an ‘attempt’ to get the West Brom player signed, but only at the end of the season.
It’s made very clear that Yokusly ‘will end the season’ with the Baggies, so there seems to be absolutely no chance of a winter move for him.
The midfielder has been an important player for West Brom this season, and clearly is a Carlos Corberán favourite, with 28 appearances made so far, so it would be no surprise if the club stand against his sale at this moment.
His contract with the Baggies expires in 2025, so it makes sense that Trabzonspor, who already had him in their squad between 2015 and 2018, make an attempt just one year before the end of his deal with the Championship side.
Until then, West Brom can think about how much they’ll request for a potential sale.
