Bayern Munich needing to see the back of some players before they can bring others in is no secrete, given the German club have made that public themselves.
Manchester United have been linked with multiple options, and now Manchester City have also been pulled into the equation.
Bild report Pep Guardiola’s side have been interested in Kingsley Coman for a while. PSG and Barcelona have been credited with interest previously, although it’s not thought either of those tracks is open to the player right now.
Manchester City have Coman ‘in their sights’, and whilst there’s no concrete negotiations at this stage it’s made clear the Premier League champions wouldn’t want a permanent deal.
Instead they’d be looking to loan the Frenchman but also have an option to buy.
Bayern Munich are said to be open to that, because they don’t want to continue paying his €20m salary. How much of that Manchester City would have to cover is unclear.
Despite the claims, this feels like wishful thinking on behalf of Bayern Munich at this point, and maybe they’re trying to get Manchester City to bite.
