West Ham United’s Nayef Aguerd was on loan at Real Sociedad in the recently concluded season and as things stand, he’ll have to return to the Premier League club.

On May 28th, we covered claims from France that West Ham are rubbing their hands as several clubs are in the picture to sign the defender.

Foot Mercato state Marseille, Bayer Leverkusen, Atlético Madrid and even La Real are all keen on signing the West Ham player this summer.

The Morocco international has a contract until 2027, but the Hammers could sell him in the coming weeks or months.

Foot Mercato’s report mainly focuses on the Ligue 1 club’s interest in the 29-year-old, who impressed for Real Sociedad this season until he was hit by unfortunate fitness issues.

Roberto De Zerbi’s side have tried to get ahead of the competition by stepping up their efforts in recent days. It’s claimed they’ve made a contract offer to the West Ham man.

The report makes no mention of the details of their proposal or if Aguerd has accepted it. The likes of Bayer Leverkusen and Atlético would also have to make advances if they wish to sign him.

Several clubs expected to battle for Aguerd should help Graham Potter’s side to collect a good fee.
