As the player goes towards rehabilitation and physiotherapy, his appearance against Manchester United in the Champions League next week is already being questioned by the European media.
Manchester United and Atletico Madrid had a 1-1 draw in Spain in the first leg of Champions League’s round-of-16, and now play again next Tuesday.
Lemar, who already missed several games this season due to muscle injuries and coronavirus, was expected to be a reinforcement for the Colchoneros for that match.
In the first leg against the Red Devils, he had been recovering his shape and only played for 14 minutes.
