On Thursday, journalist Sacha Tavolieri stated Arsenal have held talks with Ferdi Kadıoğlu, but are yet to open discussions with Fenerbahçe.
Tavolieri’s claim of the Gunners having discussions with the left-back’s camp is backed up by Türkiye.
They add Arsenal are ‘at the negotiating table’ and are ‘pushing to finalise’ a deal for the 24-year-old.
The Yellow Canaries value their star at €25m and this is well within the north London club’s reach. There’s no mention of contact between the two clubs for the Turkey international.
This information is shared by Takvim, who say an Arsenal official will travel to Turkey in June, to ‘start official contacts’ with the Istanbul club. Kadıoğlu, for his part, is keen on making a switch to the Emirates in the summer window.
Takvim add Fenerbahçe want at least €30m for the defender, which is €5m more than the fee quoted by Türkiye. As well as Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund are said to be interested in the player.
This could possibly be a tactic from Fenerbahçe, to use the media to try to increase the price. His current market value is €20m and it’s likely that a deal could be concluded for a fee close to this, if the fullback were to leave the club in the next window.
