Every transfer window, there will be a story about Fabio Borini and a return to England.

It doesn’t matter who or why or when, but the former Liverpool man will, at some point, be linked with a Premier League club, such is his use in an attack, capable of playing a bit everywhere.

Crystal Palace had a brief moment of interest, but it appears they’ve since moved onto more exciting players, yet another duo have emerged, with both Aston Villa and Watford taking an interest.

The projects on offer are vastly different for the 29-year-old, since Dean Smith’s side (who have also been mentioned with Borini in the past) managed to stay up in the Premier League, while the Hornets didn’t, and will now be plying their trade in the Championship.

TuttoMercatoWeb are the ones reporting this amid an article claiming Torino are also keen on the Hellas Verona forward, whose contract with the Serie A side is up soon (August 31st).

However, that’s when they explain that other clubs are interested, and bring up the names of both Aston Villa and Watford, who are said to have ‘tested the waters’ regarding the versatile player.

There’s not much more to it than that, but it appears Borini has a few options at his disposal, including renewing with Verona.

It’s up to him to see what he wants to do.
