Aston Villa want ‘between €30m and €40m’ to part with player – Not yet at full potential

Jhon Jader Durán signed for Aston Villa from Chicago Fire in January 2023, with the Colombian being highly rated in MLS and South America.

He’s yet to really to live up to that hype but at 20-years-of-age he has plenty of time to do so. The Colombian media often cover the forward and how he’s getting on at Aston Villa, and whilst there’s some frustration, there’s also confidence that things will work out in the end under Unai Emery.

Durán returned to the Aston Villa bench for the big defeat against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, but he didn’t manage to get off it.

A continued lack of minutes will only encourage transfer rumours, and the latest one of those comes from Italy.

AreaNapoli report Napoli are very keen on the attacker, and were even interested before he move to England. However, there’s a big barrier standing in the way of them signing the youngster, and that’s Aston Villa’s asking price.

According to the report, the Premier League club want ‘between €30m and €40m’ for Durán and that’s seen as an ‘obstacle’ by Napoli… a rather big one.
