According to a claim in the Turkish media, Aston Villa are showing interest in Besiktas forward Mustafa Hekimoğlu.

The 18-year-old has recently impressed for the Super Lig side after being given a sustained run in the team under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Fanatik today report on Aston Villas’ links with the young centre forward and they say the Premier League side have been monitoring the player this season.

It’s claimed Villa have been impressed with his performances in recent weeks and that they want to hold talks with the Turkey U21 international.

The Turkish media outlet report the English side are expected to knock on the door to sign Hekimoğlu ahead of the summer transfer window.

Aston Villa have also recently been linked with his Besiktas teamster Semih Kılıçsoy following their attempts to sign him last summer.

This week it was reported in the Turkish press that they had a €15m offer rejected by Besiktas, but could still come back in for him. Leeds United and Newcastle United are also reportedly showing interest in the Turkey international.

Hekimoğlu is contracted to the Black Eagles until June 2028 after extending his contract with them in February.
