There’s another claim in the Turkish media that Aston Villa have come in with an offer for Besiktas attacking midfielder Ernest Muci.

Yesterday there were reports the Premier League club were looking at a cash plus player deal.

Haber 3 today report Villa have tabled an offer worth €14m for the Albanian international. The Black Eagles paid €10m to Legia Warsaw in the last window to sign Muci, so it represents a decent profit for them.

There are no reports on whether Besiktas will accept this bid, but Turkish pundit Mehmet Demirkol has revealed the Super Lig side want to sell the player this summer.

“According to what I heard from a serious source; Ernest Muci is being sold by Besiktas,” said Demirkol.

Muci doesn’t seem to be in the long-term plans of Giovanni van Bronckhorst and didn’t feature in the opening game of the season last weekend.

Since May the midfielder has been linked with Aston Villa, after he impressed against them in last season’s Europa Conference League.

The 23-year-old is contracted to the Istanbul club until 2027.
