It seems Unai Emery’s Aston Villa rebuild is not limited to the pitch as he’s continued to grow his backroom team this month with a new signing.
That’s according to Debate, who cover how the club have added Los Tuzos del Pachuca nutritionist Elisa Ceñal to their team.
They explain that it seems the Mexican side don’t only export players to the Old Continent these days as the club have announced that Ceñal will be joining up with Aston Villa.
They cover the club announcing the deal on social media, where they posted a picture of Ceñal alongside the entire playing squad with some positive words about her influence on them.
“Today we meet to recognise the work of someone who has been a key player in having the health of our Tuzos reach 100 points,” it read.
“We know that your professionalism as a nutritionist will make you succeed in your new challenge in the Premier League. Proud of you, much success.”
Debate then detail how Ceñal has been with Pachuca for the last five years, where she has focused on nutritional work with the players.
She’s now heading to Aston Villa where her ‘main function’ will be to ‘deliver food control’ for the first-team squad and youth squads as well.
