There’s been a bit of a lull in the rumours regarding the transfer of Morgan Sanson to Aston Villa, but rest assured, it’s going to happen.
At least, that’s what La Provence are reporting on Tuesday, looking at the situation and giving their latest update on the matter.
According to the local newspaper, Pablo Longoria, who took over the director of football role in the south of France last summer, single handedly took charge of the deal, which should bring in €16m or so once sorted.
However, ‘that wasn’t the case [Monday] night’, although ‘the transfer should be made official in the next 24 hours according to the former Montpellier player’s entourage’.
That means we can expect a tweet from the Aston Villa account sometime today, or at a push Wednesday morning.
We’ll see if that time frame is adhered to, but the general consensus is that Sanson to Villa Park is a done deal.
