On January 26th, Las Últimas Noticias stated Universidad de Chile’s Darío Osorio has been sounded out by Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur.
The Premier League sides are joined by AC Milan in the battle for the winger’s signature in the winter market.
At the weekend, Sky Italia explained Aston Villa are trying to get ahead of the Rossoneri in the race to sign Osoiro. There was no mention of Tottenham.
Italian journalist Niccolò Ceccarini, writing in his column for TuttoMercatoWeb, now details interest from the Serie A winners, Unai Emery’s side and Spurs.
He claims Milan have started negotiations with Universidad de Chile for an operation worth less than €5m. Stefano Pioli’s side are aware the competition is fierce as both the Villans and the north London club are in the picture to sign Osario.
In recent days, Tottenham have approached the South American club for the Chile international. Aston Villa have plans to ‘overcome’ Antonio Conte’s side and Milan, they are ‘preparing a much higher offer’ than one proposed by the Serie A club.
It’ll be interesting to see whether Osario is open to changing clubs and if yes, who among Milan, Aston Villa and Tottenham would he prefer to join in January.
