With Unai Emery now at the helm at Aston Villa, some changes are expected to take place in January when it comes to the squad,

It was reported that the Premier League club were prepared to back their manager with transfer funds to give him some players in the next transfer window, and the rumours surrounding interest in players continue to suggest that.

The latest involves a new striker, with KRC Genk’s Paul Onuachu the man Aston Villa are taking an interest in to bolster their front line.

This comes courtesy of Jeunes Footeux, who explain the Nigeria international is ‘still in the little papers of the Villans’, who could ‘make a move as early as January’.

The idea would be for Aston Villa to ‘make an offer’ for the 28-year-old, who has scored 14 goals in 15 games in all competitions for the Belgian club this season.

While he reportedly valued at €15m, Jeunes Footeux make it clear the Jupiler Pro League club will not let him go for ‘less than €25m’.

For those who aren’t familiar with Onuachu, he is a towering striker of just over 2 metres tall who has been linked with the Premier League before at a time when West Ham were in dire need of a new goalscorer, prior to them going for Gianluca Scamacca.
