Aston Villa are working on a move for Kevin Danso is they cannot convince Chelsea to let them sign Axel Disasi.
That’s according to journalist Fabrice Hawkins, who say the players entourage are in Birmingham today to speak to Aston Villa.
He reports that Danso is considered Plan B for Aston Villa if they cannot sign Disasi on loan from Chelsea. Talks have been ongoing between the two Premier League clubs over the last few days, but reports have indicated that Chelsea are currently blocking the idea.
Danso has become something of a hot property after impressing at Lens and has clubs across Europe interested in him.
Reports in Italy have stated that Juventus are out in front for him and close to wrapping up a deal, but Aston Villa could be about to complicate it.
They’ve been determined to add a defender before the deadline after letting Diego Carlos leave but have been frustrated in efforts to sign the likes of Loic Bade and Juan Foyth.
The focus now appears to be on Disasi but with Chelsea proving resistant to that deal, it seems Disasi has been lined up as a Plan B and his entourage invited for talks to set that up.
