Aston Villa are considering signing Sevilla star Youssef En-Nesyri in the summer window.

The Morocco international has just over a year left on his deal and the La Liga side have identified him as an option to help them raise funds.

Vamos Mi Sevilla FC say the striker, who refused to leave in the past, is open to changing clubs, and Aston Villa could be an option.

He’s likely to make a switch to England, but a move to Saudi Arabia can’t be ruled out.

From the Premier League, West Ham United have been credited with interest and a move there will see the 26-year-old reunite with Julen Lopetegui. They were well placed to sign him until the Villans joined the race.

It’s explained that Unai Emery’s side have ‘entered the fight’ to sign the frontman in the ‘last few hours’.

Monchi knows the player well as it was the Aston Villa official who signed him for Sevilla, when he was their sporting director. He seems to be leading the Villans’ pursuit of the Moroccan.

En-Nesyri has scored 20 goals this season and the report states this is an assurance for Aston Villa to ‘make this investment’ of around €25m including bonuses to sign him.

Monchi left Sevilla for Aston Villa in 2023 and failed to sign Marcos Acuña last summer. It remains to be seen whether the director will be successful in bringing En-Nesyri to Villa Park in the next window.
