There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Saudi Arabia Pro League clubs have joined the race to sign Besiktas attacking midfielder Ernest Muçi.

The 23-year-old has been linked with a move to Aston Villa in the past week following claims of an offer coming in from the Premier League side.

Aslinda report Muci could be offloaded this summer after the arrival of Rafa Silva from Benfica. The Portuguese attacker has been Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s preferred choice so far this season in the playmaker role and subsequently the Albanian international could move on before the window closes.

The Turkish media outlet Saudi clubs are therefore monitoring the situation with Muci, but Aston Villa still have their eye on the player.

Earlier this week there were reports in the Turkish press that Aston Villa are in transfer talks to sign Muci after being linked with the youngster back in May. He reportedly impressed the English side when he played against them for Legia Warsaw last season.

He made 17 appearances for the Super Lig side last season, scoring four goals. Muci is contracted to Besiktas until June 2027.
