Aston Villa are one of the sides eyeing up NK Kustosija U19 attacking midfielder Rodolfo Aloko but face competition in Spain, Austria and the Netherlands.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who cover the 18-year-old today and the interest from around Europe in him.
The newspaper explains that Sevilla are eyeing the ‘Benin star’ and have already scouted the youngster playing for his country.
They’re not the only side showing an interest in him, though, with Red Bull Salzburg, PSV Eindhoven and Aston Villa also having ‘expressed interest’ in him.
Kustosija have become something of a ‘breeding ground’ for players and Aloko is now one of their ‘biggest stars’ as he currently alternates between the reserves and first team.
He’s described as being a very fast and powerful striker and ‘difficult to stop on the run’ who enjoys assisting more than scoring but with ‘huge potential either way.
Sevilla are currently out in front and have followed him live twice but Salzburg, PSV and Aston Villa are very much in the mix as well.
NK Kustosija will likely want a decent fee for him after securing big sums for other players in the last few years who have moved all around Europe. That’s unlikely to put off Aston Villa, who have shown a willingness to pay for talent as they plan long-term under Unai Emery.
