Aston Villa are expected to make a third bid for Semih Kılıçsoy but could face competition from Newcastle United.
That’s according to Sabah, who report that the young talent continues to be of interest to Asto Villa ahead of the summer.
According to them, Aston Villa made two bids for the player last summer but the offer of €16m plus €2m in bonuses was considered insufficient by Besiktas.
Newcastle United then came calling in the January transfer window but also ‘came up empty handed’ when they presented their proposal.
The Magpies are believed to still be interested in the 19-year-old and a deal could now be done for €15m, despite the Turkish side rejecting less from Aston Villa. Unai Emery’s side are also expected to make a third bid at some point.
They would presumably be keen to take him up at €15m given they’ve already offered more, but it would be strange for Besiktas not to ramp up the player’s price if Newcastle and Aston Villa are both interested.
They will want to take advantage of Premier League interest and money to get as high a price as they can for their young talent.
