Aston Villa midfielder Leander Dendoncker has not yet trained with Napoli as he is waiting for the loan deal taking him to the Italian champions to be finalised.
That’s according to Sport Mediaset, who say it is a matter of waiting for the announcement for the Belgian midfielder at this point.
Napoli made a surprise move for the Aston Villa midfielder this week, quickly wrapping up a loan deal that will include a purchase option at the end of the season.
The deal has been quickly progressing, with the player already in Italy finalising the move and even potentially in the squad to face Lazio at the weekend.
Sport Mediaset continue on that front today, stating that the midfielder successfully passed his medical examinations on Wednesday and all that remains for the official announcement on his arrival from Aston Villa.
The midfielder is currently ‘awaiting the announcement’ and has not yet been able to train with his new team but should be on the bench at least for the clash with Lazio.
According to them the operation ‘should be completed’ on the basis of a loan with a right to buy set at around €10m.
