On May 21st, we covered claims from Italy that Aston Villa insist on signing Torino’s Raoul Bellanova. The Villans aren’t the only English club as West Ham are also in the mix to sign him in the summer window.
That’s according to Tuttosport, relayed by ASRomaLive.it, who say the 24-year-old has ended up on the radar at Aston Villa and West Ham.
The Premier League duo are mentioned in the report that says AS Roma are currently in the lead.
It’s also explained that Napoli, Aston Villa and West Ham are all looking at the right-back, who has excelled for Torino in the recently concluded season.
Last summer, the Turin club signed Bellanova from Cagliari, and his displays have seen him make his debut for Italy.
The report says both Unai Emery’s side and West Ham ‘appreciate’ the progress he’s made at Torino, so much so that they could ‘now sink the blow with an important offer’.
With a deal expiring in 2027, Torino chairman Urbano Cairo would need at least €25m to part ways with Bellanova, and the price could increase if he were to impress at the Euros.
The outlet says Cario’s request is an issue for Roma, but that may not be the case for Aston Villa and West Ham. The Premier League duo ‘appreciate’ Bellanova, and they could make an offer to overcome competition in the next window.
