Today appears to be Arthur day in Europe, with a few indications suggesting the Brazilian could end up at Arsenal in the near future.
It started off with RMC Sport, who said ‘negotiations are advanced’ after the Gunners made him a ‘priority’, while TuttoMercatoWeb stated Mikel Arteta had specifically ‘asked’ for his club to get the midfielder.
Well, Calciomercato.it have backed that up as well, with it stated ‘the negotiations can be unblocked at any moment’.
Now, what needs to be discovered are Juventus’ intentions, mostly ‘whether or not they will be willing to deprive themselves of the player and, if so, under what conditions’.
One thing appears almost certain and that’s the fact that ‘a definitive sale should also be excluded’, not because the Serie A side don’t want it, but they would need a ‘crazy offer’ to avoid a loss on their books after he was valued at €72m in that swap with Miralem Pjanic.
Still, a loan could go a long way here, although Calciomercato.com (different source) believe that doesn’t enthuse the Italians.
It’s stated Juventus would prefer to sell the player, or at least loan him with the obligation to buy, allowing them to then replace him with guaranteed money coming in.
