The Italian media have been linking Dusan Vlahovic with a move to Arsenal since before he joined Juventus. At that time, he was edging his way out of Fiorentina and the Gunners were repeatedly pushed forward as a potential destination.

Arsenal had finished eighth the previous season, 25 points from the top of the Premier League table, and certainly weren’t the same force they are now. Noises came from the Vlahovic camp saying he didn’t really fancy a move to the London club because of that.

He ultimately moved to Juventus in January 2022, however, Arsenal links have continued consistently since then.

Today, SportMediaSet have reported, both online and in broadcast, that Arsenal ‘seem to be serious’ about signing the Juventus striker.

It’s stated the Turin club woudn’t sell the Serbia international for less than €80m, and want to keep him. He’s scored seven goals in ten matches so far this season, so will be hopeful for better than the 18 goal total he got during the last campaign.

Crucially, SportMediaSet state Arsenal ‘are waiting to see how the negotiations for the renewal with Juve will end’. Vlahovic’s contract expires in June 2026, and it’s easy to suspect the Gunners could be being dragged in and their name used to try and get more money out of Juventus.
