Arsenal are currently showing the most interest in Viktor Gyökeres, edging ahead of Liverpool and Manchester City at this moment in time.

That’s according to A Bola, who report that while there is constant focus on Manchester United and Ruben Amorim, it is Arsenal who are out in front for now.

The newspaper reports that Arsenal are ‘showing the most interest’ in the striker, particularly because new director of football Andrea Berta is a big fan of the Swedish star.

He is reportedly planning a huge summer transfer window for the Gunners, with a particular focus on improving their forward options.

A new striker is believed to be at the top of his list and Gyökeres has continued to impress this season, with 52 goals and 12 assists in 48 games this season. He’s regularly been linked with Arsenal because of that, and the 43 goals and 15 assists in 50 games last season.

Sporting have been resistant to any deal that won’t go as high as €100m and it remains to be seen if Arsenal are willing to spend such a figure on their new star striker.

The insistence from A Bola, though, is that Arsenal are out in front at this moment in time when it comes to Gyökeres suitors.
