Real Madrid want to offload players whose services are no longer needed at the club and Arsenal have been one of the clubs to be linked.

Multiple reports in Spain claim Dani Ceballos is set to join the Gunners on a loan deal, while the north London club were also believed to be interested in Lucas Vazquez and Mariano Diaz.

Thursday’s edition of Spanish newspaper AS reports Los Blancos’ ‘operation exit’ poses a threat to three players who have been featuring regularly under Zinedine Zidane, and Vazquez in included in the list.

The 28-year-old has featured in 131 games under the French manager’s guidance, scoring 15 goals and registering 35 assists in the process.

Zidane doesn’t mind retaining Vazquez, but Real Madrid’s squad is overcrowded, especially after the arrival of new signings in the summer transfer window.

Therefore, the 13-time European champions must raise cash by allowing Vazquez to leave and AS believes ‘Arsenal could be his destination’.

It’s not a dramatic signing, but perhaps one which would work out.
