Earlier today, it was revealed that Cédric Soares, whose contract at Arsenal expires at the end of the season, would be leaving the club on a free in the summer.
This means he will be a free agent, which is a situation Italian clubs love and want to take advantage of, as reported by TuttoMercatoWeb.
The website have an article on the Arsenal defender, recalling that he was once a part of Inter Milan, meaning adapting to Serie A wouldn’t be an issue for him.
It’s claimed that as well as the many Turkish clubs who were already hovering in January, there are interests from Spain, France and Italy.
It isn’t said who, with no clubs named other than Galatasaray and Besiktas after their winter approaches, but it’s clear that Cédric will be a very popular name among certain clubs over the next few months.
Having played just 193 minutes of football to date under Mikel Arteta at Arsenal this season, he will be looking for the right project to get as much game time under his belt in the next few years.
