A week ago, we carried a report from Telefoot Chaine, who explained that Arsenal are set to make a ‘concrete offer’ in excess of €40m for Lyon’s Houssem Aouar.
Le10 Sport now bring a fresh update on the London club’s chase of the 22-year-old, and their title states: ‘Arsenal does not let go of Aouar’.
It’s claimed the Premier League side’s initial offer for the midfielder was deemed ‘insufficient’ by the Ligue 1 side.
The Gunners are still actively chasing the Frenchman as he remains a ‘priority’ target for Mikel Arteta.
As per the report, the FA Cup winners now plan to table an improved offer to sign the player.
Arsenal are ‘determined to do the maximum’ to bring Aouar to the Emirates, but they also want to make sure they don’t overpay.
Le10 states it remains to be seen whether or not the new offer can convince Lyon, but they don’t mention any figures in their report.
