Goal Brasil today writes about the situation of Barcelona goalkeeper Neto, who’d like to leave the Camp Nou side this summer.

The 32-year-old is said to be looking for more minutes, and since the La Liga giants can’t offer him that, he’s disposed to leave for a club of ‘less expression’.

Only one potential destination is named by Goal, and that’s Arsenal. It’s said the Gunners are ‘monitoring’ the player, but haven’t made an official bid yet.

Mikel Arteta’s side are claimed to be following the player since last year, as he’s seen as an option of ‘more experience’ to join their squad, and could replace Bernd Leno behind Aaron Ramsdale.

Arsenal’s interest in Neto is said to be on since last year, when he was seen as an ‘alternative’ for the club.

Meanwhile, according to Goal, Barcelona are ready to ‘facilitate’ the goalkeeper’s exit and will accept ‘any bid’ that arrives for the player, as they want to get rid of his salary.

So if Arsenal are really keen on bringing him to London, it seems more like a matter of convincing the player himself of making the move rather than fighting with the Catalans over a fee.
