In November, journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu reported Arsenal scout Romain Poirot had compiled a positive report on Ferdi Kadıoğlu, after having watched him live in action for Fenerbahçe.
Last month, Fanatik stated Gunners scouts have been following the left-back closely in recent weeks. The Turkey international seems to have already convinced Arsenal, according to TV 100.
Kadıoğlu, who has been used as a right-back on a few occasions this season, has scored three goals and registered four assists from 44 games.
After putting in great performances, he could leave the Turkish club in the summer. Arsenal would be an option as the report claims they are ‘preparing to make an offer’ of around €20m to sign him.
Fenerbahçe manager İsmail Kartal has relied upon the fullback regularly this season, so TV 100 point out the Yellow Canaries will need to replace 24-year-old adequately.
Arsenal’s interest is backed up by Sports Digitale, relayed by Akşam, who state Mikel Arteta’s side have ‘made a decision’ on Kadıoğlu, after following him for a while.
It’s claimed the Gunners ‘will make an official offer’ for the Fenerbahçe star at the end of this season.
There’s no mention of the fee they will propose, but the report states the Istanbul club are expecting €25m for Kadıoğlu. If TV 100’s claim is to be believed, Arsenal’s proposal could be around €5m short.
