On Saturday, we covered reports from Brazil which said Arsenal are offering €20m for the signing of Palmeiras midfielder Danilo Oliveira.

It was also claimed, however, that the club have no intention of letting the player go before the summer, and given his good relationship with manager Abel Ferreira and the board, he could end up choosing to stay there.

Now in an update from TNT Sports, it’s claimed that three European sides have indeed made approaches for his signing. Those were Arsenal, Lille and Monaco.

Still, it’s said that despite the contacts with his entourage, no offers were presented for the 20-year-old.

It’s once again claimed that Palmeiras are ‘not interested’ in negotiating the player now because of the Club World Cup, which will be held in February. So only a summer transfer would be possible, unless they’re persuaded otherwise.

Their story doesn’t mention the price the Brazilian club would demand for the midfielder, who is undoubtedly one of the big talents of a team who’ve just won two consecutive Copa Libertadores titles.
