Speaking to the English media this week, Arsenal legend Gilberto Silva had a few words about Brazilian wonderkid Endrick.
Truth is that the former Gunners’ midfielder didn’t say a lot about the club’s interest in the 16-year-old, and only pointed out how difficult it will be to sign a gem who’s wanted by so many sides.
It turns out his interview made quite a big noise in the Brazilian media, with many outlets covering the news as if Silva had actually claimed Arsenal are going for Endrick.
To talk about that, R7 featured a story and claimed that Palmeiras are not aware of any approaches from the Gunners for the player.
It’s said the Brazilian club were ‘never sought’ by the London side to give any information about the teenager.
The same report recalls that Arsenal had actually been interested in another player from the Verdão. That’s Danilo, with the Brazilian club eportedly turning down a bid for him.
In Endrick’s case, things should be even harder. The youngster continues to be chased by Europe’s biggest clubs, even though he could only leave Brazil once he turns 18.
