On April 12th, Foot Mercato stated Arsenal are in the running for Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha.
A week later, the same outlet explained the Gunners have made contact with the 30-year-old’s entourage.
Arsenal wanting to sign the Crystal Palace star in the summer is further discussed by RMC Sport.
The Ivory Coast international’s contract with the Eagles expires in June and his agent has offered him to Paris Saint-Germain and Marseille.
It’s explained Marseille president Pablo Longoria is interested in the operation but he has to convince the Crystal Palace attacker to drop his demands. That’s because the Ligue 1 side deem his salary demands to be high.
Apart from the French club, Arsenal are also interested in acquiring Zaha’s signature.
Marseille’s unwillingness to meet his salary expectations could come as an encouragement for the likes of Arsenal. The player can continue in London if he joins Mikel Arteta’s side in the summer.
Crystal Palace, for their part, still hope Zaha signs a new deal. The Eagles are ready to increase his salary.
Zaha has six goals and three assists from 25 games this season. It’ll be interesting to see where the former Manchester United man will play during the next campaign.
