Back in 2021, multiple reports coming out of Germany stated Arsenal had showed interest in Borussia Dortmund’s Julian Brandt.
The 26-year-old seems to be back on the north London club’s transfer agenda, if a report from Bild is to be believed.
It’s claimed there are two clubs ‘hot’ for the attacking midfielder and Arsenal are one of them.
The Germany international has nine goals and five assists this season and his fine displays have attracted attention from Mikel Arteta’s side.
Arsenal want to lure the player to England and he’s open to making a switch there in the summer. Bild add Brandt has informed his close circle that a move to the Premier League would appeal to him.
BVB took Brandt from Bayer Leverkusen for €25m in 2019. He had mixed performances until the end of last season and that convinced his employer to cash in from his sale in 2022.
The midfielder’s situation has improved this season and therefore, the Bundesliga side want to hand him a new contract, as current deal runs until 2024.
With Arsenal in the picture, it’ll be interesting to see what Brandt decides in the coming months.
