Arsenal and Fulham in big battle for centre-back – Up to €25m needed for summer deal

Arsenal and Fulham are both interested in Dinamo Zagreb defender Josip Sutalo, according to reports.

It’s Italian outlet Firenze Viola who shares a complete list of clubs who’ve been recently keen on the 23-year-old.

The outlet highlights that Fiorentina are those ‘pushing more’ than the other clubs. Still, the competition is tough, with Ajax, RB Leizpig, Arsenal, Fulham and Napoli are all said to be in the ‘background’.

The fact that La Viola are having more intense contacts than the other also doesn’t mean they can win this competition, because the report points out the ‘complicated negotiation’ that is.

Dinamo Zagreb are said to be demanding between €20m and €25m for the transfer, and Fiorentina just ‘want to try’ for now.

That undoubtedly gives the richer clubs a bigger chance to get the signing done, with Arsenal and Fulham certainly having the conditions to make a signing of that price.

Both clubs seem to be looking for a new centre-back this summer, and the Croatian, who has eight caps for the national team, could end up being an answer.
