Earlier on Monday, we covered claims from Italy that two Premier League clubs, both from Manchester, were interested in signing Francesco Camarda from AC Milan.
However, there are others, according to Calciomercato.it, in England who want him, with those being Chelsea and Arsenal.
The Italian website take a look at the 16-year-old’s situation on Monday, and include the Gunners and the Stamford Bridge side among those reportedly taking an interest.
For those who aren’t aware, the young striker has become a very wanted man because of his ability in front of goal, and has recently turned 16, meaning he is allowed to sign his first, three-year professional contract.
However, were he to do so now, he would only be allowed to have it go until 2026, while doing so in the summer means the terms would last until 2027.
That’s why AC Milan have decided to wait, having reached an agreement in principle with his entourage, but that also doesn’t stop clubs abroad, like Arsenal and Chelsea, from circling.
Camarda scored two goals in the Italy U17s win over Belgium at the weekend, meaning he was back in the headlines, and it’s added that Premier League clubs are ‘pressing’ to get a deal done.
It’s said Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City ‘would like him in England’, but because of Brexit rules, he could not arrive before the age of 18.
That’s why a move to Germany, where Borussia Dortmund are very keen, could make more sense for him, especially with the club’s history when it comes to nurturing young talent.
As things stand, ‘it’s clear there are so many offers’ on the youngster’s table, but Milan ‘continue to be the priority’ for now.
