Following a few stories about Inter Milan’s interest in signing Lucas Digne from Everton, it seems the Nerazzurri started their moves for the transfer.
A story from Italian newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport today says that the Serie A side made an approach for the 28-year-old ‘in the last few hours’.
Inter Milan are said to be more interested in a loan deal, and Digne’s agents, who are working on the move, have already ‘guaranteed’ this possibility.
Everton’s stance, however, seems to be a little different. The Toffees would even let the player leave on a temporary spell, but their wish would be to tie this operation to an obligatory buying clause.
There’s still no guarantee Inter Milan can pay for Digne’s permanent move, so their preference now would be for a loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.
The Frenchman seems to be happy with this potential destination, as Gazzetta writes that the ‘satisfaction is total’. It’s once again pointed out that Napoli are interested in the left-back as well, but it seems that it’s really the Nerazzurri who are taking the first steps for the transfer.
