On Tuesday, Expressen stated Hull City want to sign BK Häcken’s Zeidane Inoussa before the window closes on Friday.
It was also said Hull City have made an offer of €7m plus bonuses, while the Swedish club are yet to make a decision on his future.
After Expressen’s report about Hull City’s offer emerged, Göteborgs-Posten got in touch with Häcken sporting director Martin Ericsson for an update.
Ericsson hasn’t confirmed or denied the Tigers’ bid but revealed the 22-year-old has received offers.
“Yes, we have concrete offers. We’ve had offers all summer, so I won’t really comment on those things further. Zeidane is here now and is fully focused on the game on Thursday,” he said.
The Swedish club’s director hasn’t ruled out a move for the Hull City target in this window.
“I don’t want to speculate or comment on it. This industry is what it is. We’ll see if there are any players out before the window closes on Friday, then there are also some windows that close on Monday,” Ericsson explained.
The player has impressed since arriving at the club from IF Brommapojkarna in January. He managed eight goals and five assists from 21 games this year.
GP explain Inoussa hasn’t closed the door on moving to England before Friday’s deadline. They also had a chat with the attacker, and he suggested Häcken should consider carrying out a deal, if it suits them.
“Absolutely not [ruling out a move]. I think Martin has been quite clear that anything can happen before the window closes,” he said,
“Another club may also come with a super bid that suits both me and the club. Then I think neither I nor Häcken would have said no. It has to feel right for both, but I’m not ruling anything out.”
On Thursday, Häcken will face German side Heidenheim in the UEFA Conference League qualifiers. Inoussa isn’t clear whether or not he will continue with his current employer beyond this window.
“My ambition is absolutely to play in the best leagues in the world. Most people want that. Whether that happens now or later, I don’t know, but I think most of them would be open if something better came along,” Inoussa explained.
“Absolutely [want to play on Thursday]. It’s an important game for both me and the club. I want to play.
“Who knows, the club that is interested might come and have a look. But honestly, it’s hard to say what will happen. Maybe something will happen, or maybe nothing will happen.”
