It seems we’re getting to the final stages of the Rui Patricio saga.

According to the latest reports from Italy, there’s only the announcement is left so his move from Wolverhampton Wanderers to Roma can be considered official.

Outlet CalcioMercato.it says the negotiation is ‘practically done’ as the goalkeeper is ready to join the Giallorossi.

Roma are set to pay Wolves around €10m for the move, with bonus included. He’s set to sign a three-year contract with a salary of around €2m per season.

Rui Patricio’s agent Jorge Mendes had been in Rome yesterday, and the report claims his presence was ‘decisive’ for the club to get one of José Mourinho’s targets for the summer.

The goalkeeper joined Wolves on a move from Sporting back in the summer of 2018.

Even though he had broken his contract with the Portuguese side following a violent attack at their training centre, the English club still managed to find a deal for his transfer just so they could avoid future problems.

After three seasons being Wolves’ main goalkeeper, Patrício should now leave the Molineux side after 127 appearances for the club.
