Everton are in talks with Villarreal over deal for forward Arnaut Danjuma to join on loan until the end of the season.
That’s according to journalist Bruno Alemany, relayed by Carrusel Deportivo, who say that ‘negotiations are already underway’ between the two clubs.
According to their information, Everton’s interest in Danjuma is ‘strong’ and they are ‘working’ on a loan deal with an option to buy at the end of the season.
The Toffees are in desperate need of a forward reinforcements this month, with goals having been hard to come by for Frank Lampard’s team this season.
Adding to their forward line is a difficult task, though, with Everton’s finances tights due to financial fair play limitations.
Lampard has already publicly admitted that loan deals are likelier than permanent transfers at this point and it seems the club are now working on what would be something of a coup.
Danjuma has been something of a star for Villarreal since moving from Bournemouth and has regularly been linked with a move back to the Premier League since.
Everton have not been named among the interested parties, but it seems they are, with talks already underway about a move this month.
