Rosario Central and Alejo Veliz are waiting for Tottenham to decide what they want to do with the striker this summer.
That’s according to D Sports, who explain that while Veliz and Rosario are hoping to reunite, it all depends on Tottenham.
Angel Di Maria’s recent return has sparked a big summer at Rosario, where they are convinced they can now do other big moves.
One of the current objectives is to bring Veliz back from Tottenham. A formal proposal has already been sent to the 21-year-old’s environment. Dialogue is underway between them and Veliz has, seemingly, shown a willingness to return.
But any transfer is heavily dependent on Tottenham sanctioning it. The belief at the moment, and from various other reports, is that they would prefer Veliz to stay on loan in Europe. He’s had unsuccessful spells with Sevilla and Espanyol so far.
The hope in Rosario is that if they don’t receive any offers from Europe, they would consider loaning him back to his old club. For now, though, the priority is another loan in Europe.
That means Rosario and Veliz are now in a waiting game, with the ambitious move perhaps one that needs time before it can happen.
