Sky Germany’s Max Bielefeld came with a claim on Sunday saying Alex Telles to Manchester United is an agreed deal. He explained the Premier League club would be paying €20m for the transfer and the Brazilian will have a medical on Sunday evening.
Why would it be news in Germany? Well, Pini Zahavi, Telle’s agent, has brokered several big deals in the country and represents stars including Robert Lewandowski.
Portugal’s Record are also backing it up and say ‘Alex Telles will be a Manchester United player’ after the club ‘settled their differences’ with FC Porto.
AC Milan confirmed the signing of Diogo Dalot just before the Telles news broke, so it’s possible United wanted that confirmed before fully committing to signing another fullback.
The stance in Portugal had long been that Manchester United needed to reach around €20m to secure the signing and despite it taking them a while to get there, it appears that’s how the agreement has been found.
Teles’ contract had been due to expire at the end of the season.
