With Leeds United relegated to the Championship, a few clubs are trying to take advantage of players wanting to leave and avoid second-tier football.
One of those are AS Roma, and Corriere dello Sport give an update on two deals the Serie A side are working on with the Elland Road residents.
The first, as you might have guessed, involves Diego Llorente, who was already on loan in Rome from Leeds for the second half of last season.
Tiago Pinto, the club’s general manager, flew to London on Monday to have a chat with the Whites, and Corriere believe that deal ‘has been definitely closed’.
In search of a right-back, the Italians have turned their attention to the Dane, for whom the agreement of a loan ‘is about to be formalised’.
However, this deal could see an ‘obligation to buy’ at around €8-9m be included, albeit ‘subject to certain conditions’, such as the qualification for the 2024-25 Champions League.
Meanwhile, over at Gazzetta dello Sport, they have a brief update, where they state the talks for both players are ‘already well advanced’.
