Arthur Masuaku left Olympiacos and made a switch to West Ham United in 2016, the left-back has started 32 league games in the past two seasons.
Manuel Pellegrini was appointed as the new manager at the London Stadium in the summer and the 25-year-old has already started in eight Premier League fixtures under the Chilean’s guidance.
His agent, Panos Galariotis, spoke to Italian website Tutto Mercato Web to provide an update on his client’s situation with the English capital club.
“He has a great manager like Pellegrini. He is happy, players are learning a lot with him [Pellegrini] and from him. It’s a great chance and he’s also playing regularly in a four man defence,” Masuaku’s representative told TWM.
Galariotis further went on to claim to have received several calls for the African defender to make a move away from his current employers, but the arrival of the former Manchester City manager was key in his decision to stay at West Ham.
“It’s true, I received a lot of calls, but Arthur is happy at West Ham and has been convinced by the arrival of Pellegrini that they will have a great season,” he explained.
The DR Congo international’s contract with the Hammers runs down in 2020.
